Letter, 1844.

Letter, 1844 Sept. 30, from McKenzie to Dr. Thomas Mitchell, which described the town of Talladega, Ala., and listed its prominent lawyers, merchants, court clerk, Whig newspaper printer, Ala. state senator and representative, and U.S. congressman. McKenzie described all of the physicians in that town, including recent arrivals and departures, and how well each physician's practice was doing. He discusses a move to southern La. or Miss. to improve his practice.
